K9 Ammo was adopted from a person that couldn’t handle the Mali experience. He was paired with John (retired Canadian military combat engineer) now a Constable for the First Nations. Ammo was a handful in the beginning and was trained by Dave, George and John - Ammo simply is a machine and is an amazing working dog. K9 Ammo is a recovery K9 that is also trained in protection and serves the Manitoba First Nations.

Ammo’s favourite thing to do is anything that involves moving and being with his partner. And also being a professional pain in the ass is his operation motto.  Ammo also patrols the winter / ice roads of northern Manitoba and is a great ambassador of a rescue dog making a new life and making a difference.
