K9 Chance the big lug is paired with an RCMP member - Julie. She is a huge advocate for services dogs and helps other veterans and first responders get their own service dogs through Courageous Companions. We are proud to support RCMP members receiving our service dogs to assist with their injuries suffered while protecting the public. Julie was one of the first RCMP members on the scene at Mayerthorpe - Canada’s worst mass RCMP police shootings. The Medal She Wears Is for 2005 For Mayerthorpe Alberta Centennial Surviving the Mayerthorpe shooting.
