K9 Mac is an Autism service dog -these types of dogs help bring balance to a family, provide unconditional love and support to a child and helps to build bridges for the child to interact in the world. This is the second most requested service dog that MSAR provides and we have no restrictions on age for handlers and place many autism service dogs with families that have seen tremendous changes in their child. These types of dogs are truly life savers and changers - the significant training that goes into these dogs is because if you have met one child / adult with autism - you have met one - they are all different and unique and this must be reflected in the dogs training and skills.
