K9: Maggie aka Maggie Monster

K9 Maggie was a power house in serving the First Nations in Manitoba - Maggie was one of only a few Pit Bulls in Canada that were Police K9s - Maggie's role was to apprehend bad guys and provide support and security coverage for the other Police K9s operating.  Maggie was loved by the youth in the communities but feared by bad guys for her loyalty to the team. Maggie is known for saving her handlers life in one occasion and also taking on a bear to protect the K9 Unit - the bear and Maggie were both fine and her ability to distract the bear allowed members to fire bear bangers (basically a loud shot) and scare off the bear. Maggie was able to retire and lived her days with her original trainer and handler in the country. Maggie, just like most Pit bulls was happiest with her partner and was know for her loyalty and affection to the members. Maggie was paired with K9 Tony and these two worked locally and internationally and proudly served MSAR.
